Bad Company Album

Bad Company, the debut studio album by the 1970s English hard rock supergroup of the same name, was recorded in November 1973 at Headley Grange using Ronnie Lane’s Mobile Studio. It holds the distinction of being the first release on Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records label.

The album achieved significant commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 in the US and peaking at number three on the UK Albums Chart, where it stayed for 25 weeks. Certified five times platinum in the US, it ranks as the 46th-best-selling album of the 1970s.

The singles “Can’t Get Enough” and “Movin’ On” also performed well, reaching No. 5 and No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rock Steady“, “Bad Company” and “Ready for Love” are also classic rock radio staples.

The Burning Sky Band - Straight Shooter Album

Straight Shooter Album

Bad Company’s second studio album, Straight Shooter, was released on March 28, 1975. It reached number three on both the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) just a month after its release and was later remastered and re-released in 1994.

The first single, “Good Lovin’ Gone Bad,” came out in March 1975 and peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the final single, “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” released in June, reached No. 10 on the same chart.

Shooting Star” is a song written by Paul Rodgers that was first released by Bad Company on the Straight Shooter album. Although not released as a single, it became a radio staple and has appeared on many of Bad Company’s live and compilation albums.
